This work is a grouping of three individual ceramic tiles painted with unpigmented encaustic medium. The collages are made with unbleached muslin that I have free motion stitched to be read as script. The dark circles and marks are made by branding the fabric first with hot metal pieces, then attaching to the support. The tiles are then mounted on a stretcher frame covered with brown linen fabric.
